Most people in this country are probably unaware that this incident even took place. It happened halfway across the world in a country most have probably ignored since the end of the Vietnam War. Plus, it doesn’t fit the current media narrative about Islamic terrorism.

You know, the one where all Islamic terrorism is the result of Western colonial and post colonial oppression.
