Random Shots

Random links to various news stories and blog posts that caught my attention this week:

One thing the Mini-14 does better than an AR – The tactical hippie himself, Grant Cunningham, posted an article on one area that the Mini-14 (as well as the M1 Carbine and leverguns) excels over the AR-15. Unlike the article I posted about some time back (link) this is actually a reason and a scenario where someone might prefer another option over the AR.

Bible On A Stick – For a lot of reasons it can be tough for those in our armed forces to carry a Bible. Anything small enough to deploy with is probably pretty tough to read and not all circumstances allow for any reading at all. Some folks have come up with a great solution and they are making them available to military personnel for free. The BibleStick is a tough little audio player that has the New Testament pre-loaded and runs for hours off a single AAA battery. Donations to help get these into the hands of more of our service-men and women will help ensure they are available to all who want or need them.

Drug Cartels Have A New Profit Center in Australia…Guns – Since the implementation of strict gun control laws down under the drug cartels have added illegal weapons to their already illegal import/export business. I’m in shock! I know Bloomberg and company swear that banning guns will magically take them out of the hands of criminals…

From Peter over at the Bayou Renaissance Man blog this screen cap of a tweet by Edward Snowden…and yes, Hillary, that was for you.

God bless and have a great weekend!
