What Did You Prep This Week?

This was not a good week for my walk with Christ or my efforts to get more healthy. My work and personal schedules took control of my time instead of the other way around so I missed my Wednesday night bible study, missed my daily bible study more often than not and Wonderful Wife and I did not do our devotional at all this week. My soda intake went well beyond by goal of one per week and I didn’t work out at all.

The only plus on for me this week was I found a sale on new ammo cans, $17.00 for one .50 caliber and one .30 caliber can. That’s about what I pay for the used ones so I picked up a set. I also picked up another ammo crate for 12 Gauge shells. I stocked up on small rifle primers, small pistol primers and some ammunition; .22 LR, .30-30, 12 gauge small game loads, 9mm, 5.56 and .38 Special practice ammo. I also picked up a new mini-flashlight for my key chain. The last one broke off while I was in Dallas.

The garden is still doing well but hasn’t produced anything else yet.

The only other plus is that we did put some money in savings.

That’s it for me. That’s what (little) I prepped this week. How about you? What did you prep this week?

    1. Thanks for the tip Rifleman III.

I’m stocking up on these small game rounds for myself obviously but also (potentially) as trade items. There was a scene in one of the books that I read (Lights Out maybe) where a man trades .22 LR ammo for small game. Although they cost more, 12 Gauge would be even better than .22 because you might be able to bag multiple critters per shot and even if not you are more likely to hit with them. The price in the book, if I recall, was one squirrel for two rounds of .22 LR.

      God Bless

  1. I picked up some various flavors of 9mm ammo. I went to the Ft. Worth gun show to check out a new S&W Shield and perhaps a shotgun. The size of this show is very overwhelming. I ended up just buying a new holster for my Springer sub compact 9mm and called it a day. I will probably purchase the aforementioned guns in a couple of weeks from a local gun dealer.
