Yeah, it’s over produced. Yeah, it’s a bit of fear mongering but it is based on a real threat.
I attended a meeting a couple of weeks ago with a state senator who was stumping for support for his bill to harden the grid against EMPs. When I asked about the physical attacks like the one in Metcalf, CA and the more recent one in Utah, he pretty much blew me off saying that such a threat was nowhere near as serious as the that of am EMP. I get it and I wasn’t necessarily saying we shouldn’t harden against an EMP but why can we do both?
