What Did You Prep This Week?

This has been another week of failing in my walk with Christ. I have hardly made time to read the Bible or go through my devotionals. We were out of town camping last weekend so we didn’t make it to church either. To be honest, I haven’t even set aside time to pray everyday.

I reloaded 50 rounds of 9mm practice ammmo and bought the die set and shell holder to start reloading .30-30 rounds. I forgot to buy a case gauge at the time so that should show up next week.

A couple of weeks ago I withdrew the cash from a dividend payment from one of my accounts. The check came in last week but I didn’t have time to do anything with it so it just sat on my desk. I was finally able to make it down and purchase some precious metals with it. It’s not much but it is what we can afford to do at the moment. I had to attend several customer meetings between the time I purchased the gold and silver and when I could make it to deposit them. Talk about paranoid! Walking around with several hundred dollars of precious metals in my pocket while visiting with various clients was nerve wracking, especially since the offices are posted gun free zones. Not fun.

I still have the check from closing out another stock account sitting on my desk. I will likely put it into an IRA but a little voice keeps whispering I should invest it in hard assets like precious metals.

From a health perspective I have failed even more miserably than I have in my walk with Christ. I haven’t exercised one and have been drinking waaaay too many sodas.

That’s it for me. That’s what I prepped this week. How about you?

God bless

  1. Don’t be so hard on yourself, we’re all flawed for sure. We had a pretty slow week of preparation as well. Picked up a little bit more ammo, added another shelving unit to the ‘bunker’, vacuum sealed a few things but that is about it. Did decide to draw some funds out of the market to pay off the cars and be debt free once again, so all in all we made progress and that’s all I can hope for.

  2. My father used to say…”Some days all you have to do is stand.” This helps me when a day or week is tough on me. Keep moving forward. Even if you didn’t get much done this week, make next week better.
We made a little bit of money selling reloading brass and bought some precious metals. A friend gave us some pumpkins that we cooked up and baked the seeds.
    Keep fighting the good fight.

    1. Thanks WorkingmanFirearms. I find that as I get older some days all I can do is stand. 🙂
Enough whining from me. It’s time to grab the bull by the horns, kick its’ tail end and get some stuff done! Today is my day to do just that.
God bless and thanks for the kind words of encouragement.
