Really Suddenlink? A Planned Outage On Election Day?

I received this notice from Suddenlink as I was browsing the Internet this morning:

I know a little bit about things IT and network related and one of the number one rules in planning a change is never schedule them for times of increased usage and visibility. On a day which promises to be one of the biggest news days in recent years with most folks tuning into local or national news programs, checking results and news on the web, Tweeting, Instagramming and FezBooking you plan a change that could interrupt service if everything goes according to plan…

What change control committee approved that one? Because they should probably have their salaries and continued employment options reviewed.

God bless
