What Did You Prep This Week?

The simple answer is, not a heck of a lot…

Walk With God

I am back on track with my daily prayer time and Bible study but we still missed church this week. Hopefully, we will be recovered enough to go next week.

Self Defense/Hunting

Nothing…

Supplies

Nothing…

Fitness

We both went back to the doctor this week. Wonderful wife has come down with another secondary infection and is back on meds for that. My blood pressure is down but still very high. They increased the dosage on my meds and added a second to try and get it down. They also ran blood tests to check for organ damage. Fortunately, those came back negative!

I have restarted my daily stretching but exercise is off the table for a little longer until I recover a bit more strength.

Finances

Wonderful Wife got paid this week. A family member was also able to repay a little of the money I loaned them last year. Between those we were able to put a decent amount into savings. We are closing in on our goal of having six months salary in savings! We should be able to meet that goal this year.

As I have mentioned before I give each of my grand kids an ounce of silver for their birthday. With two birthdays coming up in the next two months I went ahead and purchased them now. To qualify for free shipping I added one extra ounce of silver to the purchase and we added that to own own stash of precious metals.

That’s it for me. That’s what I prepped this week. How about you? What did you Prep this week?

God Bless

  1. We are prepping hard for an 84 mile trip to where the boat will be sold on as we are leaving the water.

Thus we’re working very hard to cut back our already frugal living to subsistance level as whatever we take on our trip, NOT eaten or junked, will have to be lugged back to our new base.
Thus we’ve selected 9 days supplies of basic easy to cook foodstuff (No MRE’s),
    Stored 36 litres of water,
Plus the usual 1st aid kits, clothing, etc,
All to a weight limit of 7 kilos each for everything (not including water).

Planning a BOB? Nope, that’s only for 72 hours, this is way more than that.
Supplies for 9 days worth without shopping, and probably a dry fuel tank at the other end.
