It’s About Control…

A wise man once said:

Gun control is not about guns, it’s about control.

Control is what The Party, AmSoc, wants over the people of the US. Removing the threat of armed resistance is only one aspect of an agenda designed to increase dependence on the government and remove the will and ability to defend our freedoms and oppose their “benevolent” tyranny.

Fear is a tool of control. Fear of the Russians, fear of the the white folks, fear of crime, economic fears, climate fears and fear of disease are all used to drive compliance and dependence.

Fear is used to divide us. Fear is used to create dependency. Fear is used to control.

The powers that be, the forces of darkness, AmSoc, want us all to be good little proles, easily controlled and marching in step with their agendas.

Wake up!

Resist that control…while you still can.

Executive Orders On Disarming Americans On The Way

Several news sources have said that Creepy Uncle Joe and his AmSoc handlers will be signing executive orders on “gun control” Thursday (tomorrow). These could be fairly meaningless or fairly dramatic depending on how hard they feel they can push in disarming Americans.

I am praying they are symbolic in nature and accomplish little but who can tell with the New Regime. I mean, after all, they have already fortified Washington DC with the walls they claimed were so evil when they were proposed to protect our national borders. They also have thousands of politically vetted National Guard troops on hand so they may think they are safe to push the nation over the edge and into civil war.

In any case stay alert, stay prepared and stay safe.

Colorado Shooting: How About Some Actual Facts…

How about some ACTUAL facts about the Boulder shooting?

Despite what has been claimed, the shooter was NOT a white man and was NOT a Trump supporter. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, was born in Syria. Was a devout Muslim and posted support for ISIS on social media. He frequently posted anti-Trump messages on social media.

Biden comes on the air this morning and says that we need to ban “High Capacity” magazines and “Assault Weapons” in response and in order to prevent more such incidents.

Colorado banned magazines holding more than ten rounds back when Obama was still in office (2013 I believe).

Biden says that his previous assault weapons ban reduced mass shootings. The Department of Justice under Obama could not show ANY impact of the assault weapons ban on crime or mass shootings.

The Demonrats are in a full court press to pass any and all the gun control they can. Do not be deceived. This is not about saving lives (it won’t). This is not about preventing mass shootings (it won’t). This is about removing our right to protect ourselves from evil men who shoot up grocery stores, Leftist insurgents bent on burning this nation to the ground and wannabe dictators who believe this country exists to benefit the political class.

Stand up! Contact your senators and tell them how YOU expect them to represent YOU.

Prepare! The time when we can change the course of the nation through the traditional means guaranteed by the Constitution is rapidly coming to an end (if it hasn’t already). When the government is no longer governing with the consent of the people…bad things happen. Time and again we have seen tyrannical governments using force to silence the voices they don’t care to hear. We, as a nation, for the first time in my memory need to be prepared to face this situation. As violence increases it begins to affect all of us, whether we are a part of the violence or not. You need to be able to defend yourself and your loved ones. You need to be able to provide necessities in the midst of chaos and shortage. You need to be prepared for the financial chaos that will accompany such times.

Pray! The darkness cannot stand against the light. Those who are driving our nation to the brink of chaos are in turn driven by dark and evil forces. Pray that we will turn away from this crisis. That we will see a revival in this nation. Only God can save us at this point.

Record Firearm Sales…Still

The FBI released the stats for NICS background checks in September and the numbers are (again) pretty staggering.

There were 2,892,115 NICs checks performed in September 2020. This shattered the previous record high month by around 600,000. It also brings the to year to date sales numbers to 28,826,449. That exceeds the previous record year totals by around 400,000. With (traditionally the busiest) three months of the year remaining.

Now the obligatory disclaimer: NICS checks do not directly correlate with firearms purchases. There is one check per purchase not one per firearm so many checks cover the purchase of more than one firearm. Not all NICS result in an OK to purchase. Many states do not require NICS checks for those with valid carry permits. The number of NICS checks is generally several percentage points lower than the number of firearms actually purchased.

P.S. Only one two of those 28+ million can be attributed to me (as far as I can recall) Glock G19 Gen 5 MOS and G44. Both purchased before or at the very start of the Pandemic and before the “troubles.”

Could Not Happen To A Nicer…Dick’s

Oops! Who would have thought that efforts to push gun control could backfire on a company that makes a good bit of its money from selling guns and hunting gear.

Seems Dick’s underhanded efforts to unilaterally introduce gun control within its stores and their lobbying for increased gun control at the local and federal levels have not only failed to result in tighter gun laws but have hit the business where it hurts most. Their bottom line…sales and profits are down.

Could not happen to a nicer bunch of…Dick’s if you ask me.

I will continue to shop elsewhere and I hope the hundreds of millions spent expanding into the local market here fails miserably.

How To Reduce The Risk Of Getting Shot

I came across a post on a site I am unfamiliar with “Anti Media” one ways to avoid becoming a “gun violence” statistic and it actually made some good points (link).

For example, the number one recommendation was to not commit suicide. While this is someone trite it is still true. Most gun related deaths in the US, about 63%, are from suicide. Now, will banning firearms prevent suicide?

No.

I had a relative in the house for a while who was at risk for suicide. I was particularly careful with my firearms during that time frame. During one conversation with her I tried to get her to turn over a knife she had in her purse. She looked at me for a minute and then explained all the different things within the house that she could use to kill herself; kitchen knives, medications, household chemicals, the pool, ropes, cable, chains, taking a dive off the roof, the motorcycle in the garage, etc. She told me those were just the ones she could think of and there were probably more…

Other top suggestions included:

  • Don’t join a gang
  • Don’t deal in illegal drugs
  • Avoid dangerous people like criminals and abusive people

One of my personal favorites was to avoid gun free zones since nearly all mass shootings have occurred in gun free zones…

Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others: Anti-Gun Priest’s Armed Security

Michael Pfleger is outspoken in his opposition private ownership of firearms. He has been arrested (though not charged) for blocking the entrance to a gun store as part of an anti-gun protest. He was also recorded publicly calling for the owner of the store to be “snuffed” out, although he claims he thought the term meant to pull out as in they would pull the owner out of his hole…

Although the senior priest of St. Sabina’s Roman Catholic Church in Chicago denies having an armed security detail. Most would beg to differ. In fact one of the men associated with Mr. Pfleger was arrested, outside of St. Sabina’s, when police spotted him holding a firearm. It seems that although he is a licensed security guard, Mr. Henry Eugene Hale, does not have a valid Firearms Owners ID (FOID) which is required in Illinois. He was later released on $150 bail (!) after the local precinct’s phones were inundated with calls from parishioners…

Which all goes to show, once again that:

Gun control is not about guns. It is about control. Control over those that don’t share the same opinion as the “more equal animals” on the farm.

Ignorants Should Not Govern

Congressional candidate Karen Mallard posted a video of Fezbook. To gain votes and take a stand for gun more control the candidate used a power saw to cut the barrel, hand-guard and gas tube of an AR-15. Her grandstanding turn the AR-15 into a straight-pull bolt action rifle with a barrel length of less than 16 inches; by definition a short barreled rifle or SBR.

By federal law, possession or manufacture of an SBR is illegal without going through the same steps as are required to purchase or manufacture a suppressor; the proper forms filled out, sign off by the chief law enforcment officer in your are, payment of a $200 tax and review/approval from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (and other stuff). A process that generally takes six to eight months. She, obviously, did not follow the law. She was probably completely ignorant of the fact that this law even existed. Just as she was ignorant of the fact that sawing through these parts of an AR would not disable it.

That is the problem. People who are ignorant of the laws that already exist should not be entrusted to make or enforce those laws. People who are ignorant of how a technology, whatever that technology may be, should not be crafting laws governing that technology. If you want to make such laws fix your ignorance first!

As long as this is the law of the land, she should be prosecuted for violating it as any other citizen would be. There is video evidence available on her own postings that she violated the law. Some might argue, “but she didn’t know.” Last I checked ignorance of the law was not a defense. Others would say that just like Hillary Clinton, “she didn’t mean any harm.” So what. Does that mean I can convert all my rifles to SBRs as long as I don’t mean any harm? If so, I would gladly save myself the hassle and $200. I won’t do that because I am a law abiding citizen and see fit to educate myself about the laws governing this technology…

It also brings to mind a fellow by the name of Randy Weaver. In 1992 the US Federal government accused him of making illegal Short Barreled Shotguns. The ensuing nightmare of various federal agency mistakes and aggression resulted in the deaths of Mr. Weaver’s wife, sixteen your old son, the family dog and a US Marshal at a place called Ruby Ridge.
