Food!

If you are not already stocking up on food supplies, why not?

It is time to remember the common sense of our grandparents from the Great Depression, store food when you can for lean times and lean times are definitely on the way.

World food supplies over the last few years have been impacted due to a number of issues; poor weather, COVID, supply chain issues, etc.

Ukraine and Russia export much of the food for the middle east and Europe. Russia is a major supplier of fertilizer and the raw materials to make fertilizer. In response to sanctions they have banned the export of fertilizer. China is the other major supplier and they are having production and delivery issues.

All of which increases the cost and decreases the availability of food.

China has been actively buying as much grain as it can to make up for poor harvests and to build reserves.

Today, Hungary, the second major supplier of food to Europe announced they are banning the exportation of grain.

The bottom line is that food prices will be going up even more and we could very possibly see massive shortages in many parts of the world.

I strongly suggest you start stocking up on food.

Take care and God bless.

Ukraine – Pray, Pray Now, Pray Hard….

I have tried not to be a fear monger on the Ukraine crisis but…

The situation in Ukraine looks to be escalating even closer to war. We have sent 8000 troops and F-15s to Eastern Europe and 8 B-52 bombers (we only announced 4) to Western Europe. Israel is evacuating their embassy staff and has issued a travel warning. Ukraine has given Russia 48 hour deadline to explain troop movements in the Eastern regions already occupied by Russia. Putin pulled his personal yacht (unfinished) out of a German shipyard and he and “Sleepy Joe” have scheduled an emergency phone call for tomorrow. There’s more but those are the high points.

Most analysts expect any action to begin between the 14th and the 20th but it could be anytime. If we can make it through February without WWIII starting it will be a miracle (so, get to praying if you are not already).

The immediate impact on us would be massive increases in gas prices (oil proces are already going up in anticipation of an attack), cyber-attacks could cause banking and\or credit card systems to fail. Logistics and supply chain attacks have already started so we might see even worse problems with availability of critical goods and supplies (like food). The power grid could be knocked out for a while (at least regionally) as well.

If you haven’t already started (why not?) I suggest that you get busy preparing like you would for a a natural disaster; food, water, fuel and cash. If supplies are limited for more than a short time we could see civil unrest and violence.

If you are already prepping it might be a good time to get finalize what you can and top off your preps.

Keep a close eye on world events so nothing takes you unprepared and please pray that the idiots in charge get smart and this does not happen. We may well need a miracle at this point.

Take care and God bless.

Ukraine – A Depressing Bit Of History (Plus)

As I briefly mentioned in my post Ukraine – Something Wicked This Way Comes… Russians, historically, are quite adept and willing to engage in winter operations. Defensively and offensively it has served them well in the past. Joe Dolio over at Tactical Wisdom shared a rather depressing bit of history extending on that thought they also like to leverage holidays and international events to slow and confuse western response to these operations.

For example, the Russians rolled into Afghanistan on Christmas Eve in 1979 because they knew Western operations centers would be lightly staffed for the holiday. National and military leadership would also be out of pocket for the same reason. Moreover they have used international events such as the Olympics (starting soon) to help take advantage of the distractions they provide:

Russia took advantage of the Olympic Opening Ceremony to strike Georgia in 2008 and the Olympic Closing Ceremony in 2014 to take the Crimea.

He has some even more chilling concerns in this post (Learning from Mongol Moon) related to China. I encourage everyone to check it out and prepare as you see fit based on the scenario outlined.

(Plus)

Most assume a Russian offensive would begin with or include a cyberattack on the US and Western powers. So, is the discover of and widespread use of the Log4j vulnerability a coincidence?

I don’t have enough information to say one way or the other but…

Take all information like this with a grain of salt. Then take a look at your preparedness/readiness level and take whatever measures you feel are appropriate.

Be alert, get prepared, fight the good fight!

God bless and God save the Republic.

Ukraine – Something Wicked This Way Comes…

So, it seems the threat of a war in the Ukraine has filled the airwaves and the other propaganda outlets. It sure seems like a convenient way to make sure people are not paying attention to the various courtroom dramas, legal setbacks of the ruling junta, and the failing economy. What better way to take the nation’s attention off of the our own collapse than the threat of war?

That is not to say that the threat of war is not serious. It would not be the first time political posturing to take a nation’s mind off of domestic issues spiraled out of control. I have followed the situation in Ukraine for years and every previous time there was a “Russian buildup” it was tied to strengthening the bargaining position of one side or the other. Four decades after the end of the Cold War nothing opens the floodgates on US aid money that the threat of a mass of Russian tanks crossing a border somewhere. That same mass of Russian tanks tends to be very effective at influencing the behaviors of smaller nations facing those tanks.

The same pundits who have always had an valid explanation other than a Russian invasion for the troop movements are now saying that the tanks are very likely to roll this time, probably sometime in in January or February. Some will argue that will not happen. After all, who attacks in winter? The answer to those who only think they know history is…the Russians.

So, there is a very significant probability that the Russians are willing to roll this time. Based on the track record of those who have stolen control of our nation, the Russians are probably pretty confident that the US will fail to defend Ukraine as we are treaty bound to do. It is also probable that the current regime in the US will bumble their way into a war that they are incapable of winning. No matter how this plays out the US will suffer. As will the Ukrainian people.

Now, what happens if the US gets tangled up in the Ukraine?

First and foremost, we will likely face a massive wave of cyber attacks on critical infrastructure and financial systems. The Russian hackers are very good. We will probably see power outages, cellular and Internet outages and issues with electronic banking including EBT, debit, credit, zelle, etc being unavailable.

So, keep the fuel in your vehicles topped off. Have a backup power source and plenty of fuel and a way to stay warm in the cold. Keep some extra cash on hand if you can. Have an alternate means of communication and receiving news. I have sent out an message to my family to be prepared for such things and will be communicating it to my extended team before long.

Iran could decide it was time to actually use some of the newly purchased (with dollars provided by President Obama’s administration) military toys it has. Saudi Arabia, through Yemen, or Israel could face a firestorm.

With the US tied up fighting Russia, North Korea could decide to forcibly unify the peninsula.

Even more likely, China could move forward with bringing Taiwan into the fold by force. I don’t think they would directly invade Taiwan but they could take some of the smaller islands controlled by Taiwan relatively easily and set up a blockade of the nation as  whole. The US would be unable to respond in any meaningful way.

I pray that there are enough adults in the room to prevent a worst case scenario.

Be alert, get prepared, fight the good fight!

God bless and God save the Republic.

Responses To Texas’ New Laws

The Texas legislature has managed to pass several new laws that the Republican/Conservative voters who elected these jokers to Austin have been demanding for quite some time.

Texas has passed “Constitutional Carry,” which allows anyone who is legally able to purchase a firearm to be able to carry it, open or concealed, without a special license. It is about time. For all the impression people have of gun rights, this is an area where Texas does not lead. At least 20 other states have enacted such legislation before we did here in the Lone Star state. So far, there has been little reaction to this law from the Federal government or other states.

The Texas Heartbeat law, which makes illegal to perform or assist in the performance of an abortion after a fetal heartbeat has been detected (sort of) on the other hand has resulted in a firestorm. At least one CEO has been terminated for having the gall to share his support for the law. Ride share service Lyft has promised to cover the legal fees of any drivers who are taken to court for assisting in an illegal abortion. Hollyweird, of course, is calling for protests, bans and boycotts. The wonderful city of Portlandia (formerly known as the city of roses but now better know for rioting) is looking to ban travel to and the trade of goods and services from Texas by city government and employees. The reaction from the Federal government has been most threatening. Joe Biden who couldn’t care in the least about abandoning Americans to the hands of the Taliban has promised the full weight of his ruling junta will be brought to bear on Texas for passing this law. His STASI Department of (in)Justice is already moving to use a 1994 law that protects those seeking or providing abortions from obstruction or threats of physical harm to attack the law and anyone who enforces it. They are attempting to classify this new law as “violence” against those seeking to obtain or provide reproductive health services.”

Today, Governor Abbot signed the Election Integrity bill, making it law. This is the law that drove Demonrat representatives out of Texas to avoid a quorum and the passage of the law (sort of). In actuality, this is a different law by the same name to bamboozle voters into thinking they are getting what they asked for. I haven’t seen any responses on this one but after the firestorm that the Georgia law generated, I am sure it is coming.

All three of these new laws and the reactions they have engendered are indicative of the increasing divide in this nation. There is less and less common ground between the left and the right. Either this nation will split (relatively) peacefully or one side or the other (maybe both) will be destroyed. The left can not coexist with the right. They will not be satisfied until their woke, communist vision of this nation is fully implemented. Those who disagree with them will be silenced; through coercion (bullying), through governmental force or through violence (Antifa, BLM or government agencies). We can protect ourselves by separation, we can submit, or we can fight and many will die. Those are the only choices left.

Stay alert, stay prepared and stay safe.

God bless.

Support For Dissolving The Union Is Growing

In a recent survey 2 out of 3 southern republicans favor secession from the United States. On the other side of the aisle, almost half the demonrats (AmSoc) in the Pacific states were in favor of splitting from the Union. Overall, a surprising 37% of Americans across all regions and all political affiliations are in favor of breaking up the country.

“Experts” predicted that these numbers would decrease after the January 6th protest at the Capital. However, that has not been the case. The numbers supporting a breakup continue to increase (link).

Personally, I feel this would be the best option for the US. I understand that it will not be a perfect solution but if we do not split peacefully we are more likely to find ourselves in the middle of another civil war. The horrors and body count should that break out will make the last civil war look like a Sunday picnic. Imagine if you will, the siege of Sarajevo on a major US city such as New York or Los Angeles…

Stay alert, stay prepared and stay safe.

God bless.

A Tale Of Two Armies

Russia:

According to a number of news sources The Kremlin has ordered combat readiness check of their entire military. Russian officials are being clear that the purpose is to:

…ensure high quality of control, training and security in the movement of military echelons and military equipment.

It appears the Russians what to be ready to defend their borders. It is also clear that they are using this exercise to rattle the cages of Western and Ukrainian politicians.

USA:

Instead of focusing on the military readiness of our armed forces, the US military is busy trying to purges their ranks of “extremists.” For those not in the know, that means anyone who does not buy into the legitimacy of The New Regime or anyone who does not agree with AmSoc’s policies and agenda. At the same time AmSoc and their fraudulent puppet, Creepy Uncle Joe, are focusing our military on fighting the “true threat” to America, the weather.

More important to AmSoc than combat readiness is funding and supporting gender fluidity and removing biases. Crazy, outdated, repressionist ideas like not allowing pregnant women to fly combat missions or having physical performance standards that are too high for everyone to pass must be eliminated.

***

Given these two tales, which military is more likely to be able to perform their primary mission of defending their nation? Given these two tales, which is more likely to deter aggression from hostile powers?

Stay alert, stay prepared and stay safe.

God bless.

The Saber’s Are A Rattlin’

Last week we were informed that China had once again violated Taiwanese airspace, this time with a flight of 20 military aircraft (link). Today, we hear that the US military in Europe is going on alert for a “potential imminent crisis” as the fighting intensifies in Ukraine while Russia deploys thousands of troops to the area (link). Both nations are “rattlin’ their sabers” ever more loudly.

Meanwhile, here in the US, the New Regime is busy driving Trump supporters, patriots and anyone else who doesn’t swallow the load of woke liberalism out of the military. The new and improved US military is ready willing and able to wage war on environmental change and lead a charge of high-horse mounted, social justice warriors against domestic threats like television reporters who disagree with our AmSoc overloads. Unfortunately, they are increasingly ill prepared to fight and actual, you know, war.

Are the Russians, Chinese or even the Iranians worried that “ole puddin’ head” drooling his way through the White House could string enough coherent sentences together to issue clear and decisive orders to the military? I doubt it. But, they are playing it safe and slowly increasing the temperature on the pot of frogs, just to make sure.

So, while the US uses its military as a platform for combating the weather and social injustice, while we steadfastly try and ignore the Marxist insurgency in the Pacific Northwest and the invasion of our southern border storm clouds gather across Europe and Asia. I hope and pray those who danced at the removal of President Trump from power are ready, willing and able to defend themselves. If they are not, I hope they are at least brushing up on their Russian and Mandarin.

Stay alert, stay prepared and stay safe.

God bless.
