Watch what is going on in the world so you can plan and act to protect those God has entrusted us with. That is why he gave us the capability to understand and plan, however, DO NOT FEAR.
He is in control, what is happening is in accordance with His plan and no matter what we will have eternal life in His house and with Him.

As I briefly mentioned in my post Ukraine – Something Wicked This Way Comes… Russians, historically, are quite adept and willing to engage in winter operations. Defensively and offensively it has served them well in the past. Joe Dolio over at Tactical Wisdom shared a rather depressing bit of history extending on that thought they also like to leverage holidays and international events to slow and confuse western response to these operations.
For example, the Russians rolled into Afghanistan on Christmas Eve in 1979 because they knew Western operations centers would be lightly staffed for the holiday. National and military leadership would also be out of pocket for the same reason. Moreover they have used international events such as the Olympics (starting soon) to help take advantage of the distractions they provide:
Russia took advantage of the Olympic Opening Ceremony to strike Georgia in 2008 and the Olympic Closing Ceremony in 2014 to take the Crimea.
He has some even more chilling concerns in this post (Learning from Mongol Moon) related to China. I encourage everyone to check it out and prepare as you see fit based on the scenario outlined.

Most assume a Russian offensive would begin with or include a cyberattack on the US and Western powers. So, is the discover of and widespread use of the Log4j vulnerability a coincidence?
I don’t have enough information to say one way or the other but…
Take all information like this with a grain of salt. Then take a look at your preparedness/readiness level and take whatever measures you feel are appropriate.

Ken Hackathorn released a sobering new video on the Wilson Combat YouTube channel. In it he discusses the “new realities” of current day America. It is well worth the ten minutes or so it takes to watch. It clarifies many of my own thoughts that I try and express here on the blog.
For those who don’t know who he is, here is a short bio from Recoil magazine:

So, it seems the threat of a war in the Ukraine has filled the airwaves and the other propaganda outlets. It sure seems like a convenient way to make sure people are not paying attention to the various courtroom dramas, legal setbacks of the ruling junta, and the failing economy. What better way to take the nation’s attention off of the our own collapse than the threat of war?
That is not to say that the threat of war is not serious. It would not be the first time political posturing to take a nation’s mind off of domestic issues spiraled out of control. I have followed the situation in Ukraine for years and every previous time there was a “Russian buildup” it was tied to strengthening the bargaining position of one side or the other. Four decades after the end of the Cold War nothing opens the floodgates on US aid money that the threat of a mass of Russian tanks crossing a border somewhere. That same mass of Russian tanks tends to be very effective at influencing the behaviors of smaller nations facing those tanks.
The same pundits who have always had an valid explanation other than a Russian invasion for the troop movements are now saying that the tanks are very likely to roll this time, probably sometime in in January or February. Some will argue that will not happen. After all, who attacks in winter? The answer to those who only think they know history is…the Russians.
So, there is a very significant probability that the Russians are willing to roll this time. Based on the track record of those who have stolen control of our nation, the Russians are probably pretty confident that the US will fail to defend Ukraine as we are treaty bound to do. It is also probable that the current regime in the US will bumble their way into a war that they are incapable of winning. No matter how this plays out the US will suffer. As will the Ukrainian people.
Now, what happens if the US gets tangled up in the Ukraine?
First and foremost, we will likely face a massive wave of cyber attacks on critical infrastructure and financial systems. The Russian hackers are very good. We will probably see power outages, cellular and Internet outages and issues with electronic banking including EBT, debit, credit, zelle, etc being unavailable.
So, keep the fuel in your vehicles topped off. Have a backup power source and plenty of fuel and a way to stay warm in the cold. Keep some extra cash on hand if you can. Have an alternate means of communication and receiving news. I have sent out an message to my family to be prepared for such things and will be communicating it to my extended team before long.
Iran could decide it was time to actually use some of the newly purchased (with dollars provided by President Obama’s administration) military toys it has. Saudi Arabia, through Yemen, or Israel could face a firestorm.
With the US tied up fighting Russia, North Korea could decide to forcibly unify the peninsula.
Even more likely, China could move forward with bringing Taiwan into the fold by force. I don’t think they would directly invade Taiwan but they could take some of the smaller islands controlled by Taiwan relatively easily and set up a blockade of the nation as whole. The US would be unable to respond in any meaningful way.
I pray that there are enough adults in the room to prevent a worst case scenario.

In a recent survey 2 out of 3 southern republicans favor secession from the United States. On the other side of the aisle, almost half the demonrats (AmSoc) in the Pacific states were in favor of splitting from the Union. Overall, a surprising 37% of Americans across all regions and all political affiliations are in favor of breaking up the country.
“Experts” predicted that these numbers would decrease after the January 6th protest at the Capital. However, that has not been the case. The numbers supporting a breakup continue to increase (link).
Personally, I feel this would be the best option for the US. I understand that it will not be a perfect solution but if we do not split peacefully we are more likely to find ourselves in the middle of another civil war. The horrors and body count should that break out will make the last civil war look like a Sunday picnic. Imagine if you will, the siege of Sarajevo on a major US city such as New York or Los Angeles…

I came across an article today on a private security force being developed to protect predominantly Jewish neighborhoods in Los(t) Angeles. The group, Magen Am which means “nation’s shield” in Hebrew, is a privately funded non-profit that recruits former military men to provide security patrols and guards. They respond to calls from citizens of any faith within those neighborhoods (read more on Magen Am).
Last month I came across an article that showed that the company behind the crime tracking app Citizen was working on an idea for an upsell opportunity providing private police response for subscribers to the service. Once word leaked out the company denied the plans and quickly dropped the idea (read more here).
Several neighborhoods around me have already contracted with off duty police officers to provide extra patrols during high crime periods.
As our nation continues to spiral into chaos I see this trend becoming ever more prevalent. Those who can afford private security forces will remain untouched by the chaos while the rest of us will be left to pay the consequences.
As the chaos grows, more informal and less well trained groups will arise to provide protection. Some of these groups will be good folks. Some will not, search for Altamont and Hell’s Angels, for an idea of the kinds of things that can happen.
Remember Matt Graham’s Kill House Rules and start thinking about how they will apply to you and yours as we slide into the darkness and chaos:
1. NOBODY IS COMING TO SAVE YOU. Whether an event lasts a few seconds, a few hours, or even a few days – you have to work as though nobody is coming to save you.
2. You are your savior, so start working because EVERYTHING IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. You are your security, you are your medic, you are your rescuer.
3. You are your own best resource to SAVE WHO NEEDS TO BE SAVED. Nobody wants to save your life more than you, so set yourself up for success by having the simple tools and knowledge to do so: do what you can with what you have. Recognize that nobody is in a better position to start saving your life than you.
4. Sometimes saving lives means you have to KILL WHO NEEDS TO BE KILLED. It has been almost 15 years since I first wrote “the more effective you are at taking a life, the more successful you’ll be at saving one” and nothing in the intervening time has changed my mind. Be swift, be decisive, be final.
5. Mostly, ALWAYS BE WORKING. There is always something you can be doing to improve your position. Always. Because nobody is coming to save you.

I am sick and tired of elected representatives pushing their agendas on us. We elect these folks (clowns) to represent us and then they use every mechanism possible to force us to confirm to their goals and plans.
We are the citizens of this nation. In our representative republic it is the citizens of the nation are the leaders. Our elected representatives are supposed serve us and represent us and our goals, values and agendas. This is true of every elected official from the President to Congress to our local school board members. They are our servants.
When those servants do not represent us it is time to replace them. When they use their power to overrule the citizenry or to stifle the voices of the the citizenry it is time to replace them.
That is the reason for the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
We need to exercise those rights and make our voices heard. Loudly, clearly and peacefully. We need to vote for candidates that represent our views and not for candidates from a specific political party.
Now what happens if we find that we are no longer able to make those staffing changes through the ballot box?
Well, for that situation, and I pray it never comes to this, the founding fathers gave us the Declaration of Independence and the Second Amendment…

I haven’t been posting much of late and one of the main reasons is that I am struggling with just exactly what I want to post and what I should be posting. One the one hand I want to call attention to the actions of the “powers that be” and do my (tiny) part in rallying opposition to their destruction of our nation, our constitution and our founding principles. On the other hand I am hesitant to fan the flames of division that are tearing our nation apart.
The Bible teaches that I should put aside the concerns of the world, focus on Jesus Christ and spreading the Gospel. At the same time, we are not supposed to stand by and ignore the evils of the world. I have been praying on this for several and I think I have come to a place of clarity. I will continue to pray on this to ensure that my point of clarity is correct.
If Christians had united to stand against the rise of the Nazis and the Bolsheviks it is possible many millions of lives could have been saved. I believe we are at a similar point in our nation’s history. If we do not make a stand not only will our nation, constitution and founding principles be washed away but many thousands will likely meet their end and the Gospel will be subverted and suppressed.
So, I believe speaking out is not only a secular duty but a duty of my faith to speak out against the path our nation is on and the forces pushing us down that path.
“Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.”

Russia:
According to a number of news sources The Kremlin has ordered combat readiness check of their entire military. Russian officials are being clear that the purpose is to:
…ensure high quality of control, training and security in the movement of military echelons and military equipment.
It appears the Russians what to be ready to defend their borders. It is also clear that they are using this exercise to rattle the cages of Western and Ukrainian politicians.
USA:
Instead of focusing on the military readiness of our armed forces, the US military is busy trying to purges their ranks of “extremists.” For those not in the know, that means anyone who does not buy into the legitimacy of The New Regime or anyone who does not agree with AmSoc’s policies and agenda. At the same time AmSoc and their fraudulent puppet, Creepy Uncle Joe, are focusing our military on fighting the “true threat” to America, the weather.
More important to AmSoc than combat readiness is funding and supporting gender fluidity and removing biases. Crazy, outdated, repressionist ideas like not allowing pregnant women to fly combat missions or having physical performance standards that are too high for everyone to pass must be eliminated.

Given these two tales, which military is more likely to be able to perform their primary mission of defending their nation? Given these two tales, which is more likely to deter aggression from hostile powers?

Once Florida and Texas led the way, several states now have executive orders or laws preventing the rollout of “vaccine passports” within their borders.
Several states have or are in the process of passing laws to become “2nd Amendment” sanctuaries preventing local law enforcement from cooperating with the enforcement of unconstitutional Federal firearms laws or executive orders. (Of course, they still haven’t been able to audit ballots from within their own state, specifically Maricopa County, where ruling AmSoc (Demoncrat) are trying to prevent their own election fraud antics from coming to light.)
Arizona has passed a law against the “election reforms” included in HR1 which they refer in the law as the “corrupt politicians act.” Georgia and other states have or are working to enact laws that would run directly counter to the changes proposed in HR1. (Texas and some other states passed those laws several years ago.)
The list of states that are actively working to block and defeat the AmSoc agenda spewing out of Washington DC is growing and growing more active. The “bully pulpit,” sanctuary declarations, counter laws and lawsuits are all being used to counter the socialist power grabs from Washington.
Many of us on the Conservative/libertarian side of the fence are cheering these actions and encouraging even more of it.
However…
What we are seeing is, essentially, the (figurative) redrawing of the Mason-Dixon line from the last American Civil war. Those states actively working against the AmSoc tyranny of The New Regime will likely become the backbone of secession/rebellion in the coming unpleasantness. The battle lines may be more clearly drawn than I (or a lot of people smarter than me) had anticipated. Which might be a good thing. A peaceful dissolution is the only chance we have to avoid the chaos and hell of another civil war.
A strong suggestion…if you are a freedom-loving, Constitution-supporting American it would be a really good idea to get yourself and your family to a “red-state” as soon as practical. There is a strong probability that “your kind” will experience some serious backlash as these lines are drawn. Likewise for AmSoc supporters who reside in “red-states.” If you doubt me, research what happened in “border states” like Missouri and Kansas during the last civil war.
